Maintenance
The philosophy behind Harper Sports Cars is to make it an affordable experience.  Although Craig Harper himself is a very talented racing and rally driver, he was forced to cut his racing career short due to the cost of the sport. That's why he's focused on keeping the running costs low, and capping the engine modifications for racing, to give talent a chance.

Safety
The Type 5 has excellent crash protection, from both front and side impacts. The driver's feet are safely located in a spacious area behind the front axle line. The side pods serve as storage bins, air intakes and impact protection areas. This means the driver feels safe at speed which translates to more speed (on the track)! More importantly, the passenger will also feel safe, offering a more enjoyable experience for both driver and passenger. Therefore your significant "other" will enjoy your Type 5 as much as you do.  We are confident about the safety of this car.   The Type 5 was involved in a high speed road accident in 2006, with the drivers side of the car being "T-boned".  Both driver and passenger stepped out of the car without injury.  Thanks for the crash test boys!

Comfort and Space
The Type 5 has excellent passenger space, especially in the pedal area. The driver is located at the centre of movement, which affords superb comfort.

There is ample space inside the car for two normal sized people. No squeezed bums, nor elbows hanging out.  Normal shoes may be worn as the pedals are suitably spaced with flexibility to adjust for shorter or taller drivers. Wider drivers need have no fear of the car being tight - we've had all shapes and sizes in the car, including Uncle Bob who is 1.9m and even he was comfortable.

The Type 5 even has luggage space under the bonnet. In either side pod, a soft bag may be placed or on the 'parcel shelf' beneath the roll bar.  So, over night trips away with the missus can be achieved easily with out compromise.
